(Born 1926 in France) Reclining nude, resting on a chamois-colored blanket, spread out on a delicate light blue, speckled sofa under the windowsill, lies the young, brown-haired model in an approximately full-bodied pose with closed eyes. In pastel tones and with a dynamic, broad brushstroke, the early work by Hervé, a member of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts, is conceived in a fragmentary manner. Oil on canvas; signed and dated; lower left with the location Paris and the year 1946. Verso labeled in French. 60 cm x 81 cm. Framed.
