A pear-shaped body with volute handles and a pointed spout. Domed lid with a spherical finial. On the wall, there is a depiction of Venus or the Nereid Galatea sitting in a shell, accompanied by sea nymphs and cupids. In the background, Neptune, drawn by hippocamps, approaches with a trident. This house painting is likely from Breslau, executed in purple camaiieu with gold decoration. Some insignificant restorations; the lid is different. Height: 21 cm. Compare with auction catalog, Jahn Collection, Hamburg, 641. Lempertz Auction, 1989, No. 36. A porcelain coffee pot with "Hausmalerei" in purple camaiieu, probably from Breslau.
