Description

High rectangular body. Round, overlapping lid with a plastic pinecone knob. On the body and lid, so-called Teniers scenes. On both sides of the body, a depiction of an old peasant leaning against a rock while resting with a donkey or a wandering peasant woman with a basket accompanied by a child. On the narrow sides, a wanderer with a stick or a gentleman taking a walk with his dog in a naturalistic landscape setting. Corresponding scene with a shepherd on the lid. On the flat shoulder, colored wooden cutout branches of flowers. Polychrome painting with a wide gold lace border. Gold no. 54. Height 12.5 cm. A porcelain tea caddy with Teniers scenes. Gold no. 54.
