Description

On a pedestal adorned with plastic flowers and leaves stands a hunter in a sea green coat, white trousers, and black riding boots. His hair is covered by a tricorn hat. He holds a hunting rifle upright on the ground, with a game bag containing a partridge on his back. At his feet sits a pointing dog. The polychrome painting is accented with a touch of gold. Possibly by Johann Friedrich Eberlein. Insignificant restoration/chipping; crossed swords mark. Height 17.5 cm. Compare with Pietzsch, Catalog Porcelain Parforce, No. 5ff; Swedish National Museum, Stockholm, Inv. No. NMK 52/1984; Meister, Pauls Collection, p. 406f. A porcelain figure of a huntsman with a dog. Insignificantly restored/chipped. Crossed swords mark. Meissen. Circa 1750.
