Cylindrical in shape with a handle "à la grecque". Domed lid with a baluster knob. "Antiqueglatt" form. Cobalt blue background. Display side, surrounded by etched gold vines, features a reserve with a portrait of Friedrich II, King of Prussia, as well as the inscription 'FRIDERIUS. II. BORUSSOR. REX.' accentuated in yellowish grisaille painting. Border of scrolling vines. Partially damaged/restored; scepter mark. Height 10.5 cm. A lidded Berlin porcelain cup with a portrait of Frederick the Great (Prussia) painted in grisaille. Partially rubbed/restored. Scepter mark KPM-Berlin. Around 1780-1790.
