Spherical-shaped body, laterally curved J-handle with palmette and curved spout in the form of an animal head. Inset lid with centrally placed plastic strawberry knob. On both sides of the body and on the lid, there are gold-ornamented reserves with scenic depictions of shepherd couples in the style of Watteau, alternating with colorful, turquoise-ground "Deutsche Blume" (German flower) decor. Polychrome painting with gold staffage. The number "44" in purple on the base. Minimal restoration; sword mark. Height 12 cm. Compare Rückert, Catalogue of Meissen Porcelain, Bayerisches Nationalmuseum, No. 384 ff. A turquoise ground tea jug with very finely painted Watteau scenes and flower bouquets. Minor restored. Crossed swords mark. Meissen. Circa 1745.
