Zatcka: a collection of bright works

(1859 Vienna-Breitensee - 1945 ibid) Flower Girl at the Chapel / Madonna / Christ and Joseph Collection of Three Paintings. Vibrantly colored, motif- and stylistically typical works by the renowned painter Zatzka. Zatzka visited the Academy in Vienna from 1877 to 1882 and was awarded the Golden Füger Medal in 1880. After studying in Italy, Zatzka returned to Vienna. Among Zatzka's favorite motifs were elves, cupids, sensual female figures, genre scenes, allegories, and other popular depictions that were widely spread as picture postcards, art prints, and oil prints.
