(Active in the 16th century) Portrait of a nobleman from the ancient Bavarian-Salzburg noble and patrician family of Rehlingen. This representative, exquisitely painted bust portrait depicts a young man with reddish, curly hair and his upper body and face slightly turned to the left. He is dressed in an elaborately embroidered black jacket with a high collar adorned with white, delicate lace. Inscribed on the lower left is "1570 C" above a depiction of the family's coat of arms, whose ancestral seat is located northeast of Augsburg in Schernegg in the district of Aichach-Friedberg. The artwork measures 6.2 cm x 9.3 cm and is painted in oil on a copper panel. It is framed. This German portrait painter was active in the 16th century.
