(Born 1940 in Munich. Currently residing there) Hühnerhof, finely executed cabinet painting by Kaplan, who is active as an animal and landscape painter. With his chicken and duck paintings, which are distinguished by their carefully observed, detailed, and lively depiction of the birds, Kaplan follows in the tradition of Carl Jutz the Elder, as well as the Munich animal painter Julius Scheuerer and Max Hänger, who also dedicated themselves to these motifs. Oil on wood panel. Signed and dated (19)79. 13 cm x 18 cm. Framed.
