Description

(1803 Norfolk - 1879 Norwich) Wooded landscape with cottage and figures on a path. A romantic work by the English landscape painter Ladbrooke. Ladbrooke came from an artist family and primarily painted woodland landscapes. As early as 1820, he published a series of eight lithographs titled "Select Views in Norwich and its Environs". In 1821/22, he exhibited at the Royal Academy in London and was a frequent exhibitor at the British Institution until 1873. Oil on canvas, relined. Monogrammed. Dimensions: 38 cm x 46 cm. Framed.
