Silver. Bulbous knifed round stand, transitioning into a compressed, bellied body with slightly recessed shoulder and wave-shaped decorated, narrow rim. High domed lid resembling a hood with cube-shaped, dark brown banded wooden knob. Surface covered with fine hammered finish. On the sides, two curved, conically widening handles made of ebonized wood, encased at the volute attachment. Dated 800, maker's mark, dealer's mark "Sönnichsen". Weight approximately 705 g. Height 19.5 cm. Diameter of the bowl 17.5 cm. A German Art Deco silver lidded tureen. Standard mark 800, maker's mark, dealer's mark. German. Bremen. Koch & Bergfeld. 1st quarter 20th century.
