Atmospheric scenes of harvest painted in thin layers by Shayer, who was equally talented as a landscape and figure painter. He exhibited more than 400 paintings at the Royal Academy, the Society of British Artists, and the British Institute; works are held by the Tate Gallery and the Metropolitan Museum. Oil on canvas.
