

(1803 Norfolk – 1879 Norwich) Forest landscape with a cottage and figures on a path. A romantic work by the English landscape painter Ladbrooke. Ladbrooke grew up in a family of artists and mainly painted forest landscapes. As early as 1820, he published a series of eight lithographs entitled "Selected Views of Norwich and its Surroundings." In 1821/22, he exhibited at the Royal Academy in London and was a frequent participant in exhibitions at the British Institute until 1873. Oil on canvas, relined. With monogram.
