

(1803 Norfolk - 1879 Norwich) Forest landscape with a cottage and figures on a path. A romantic work by English landscape painter Ladbrooke. Ladbrooke grew up in a family of artists and primarily painted forest landscapes. As early as 1820, he published a series of eight lithographs titled "Selected Views of Norwich and Its Environs." In 1821/22, he exhibited at the Royal Academy in London and was a frequent participant in exhibitions at the British Institution until 1873. Oil on canvas, relined. With monogram.
