(1898 Munich – 1947 ibid.) Children at the Wayside Chapel. In pastel tones, a realistic depiction of a roadside chapel at the edge of the forest with praying children in national costumes, most likely in the highlands of Tyrol. He studied under his father Paul Moralt, a student of Spitzweg and Christian Morgenstern; additionally, he possessed several albums with sketches and preliminary drawings by Spitzweg. From 1903, Moralt studied at the Munich Academy under Karl Raupp and quickly achieved success at the Munich Glass Palace. Oil on wood panel. Signed with location Munich. 55 cm x 38 cm. Framed.
