Atmospheric, thinly layered harvest scenes by Shayers, who was equally talented as a landscape painter and figure painter. He exhibited over 400 paintings at the Royal Academy, the Society of British Artists, and the British Institution; works belong to the Tate Gallery and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Oil on canvas.
