

(1821 – 1881, Wösendorf) Landscape with a distinguished company on a parforce hunt in front of a castle. A rare motif by the versatile landscape and seascape painter. Püttners undertook extensive research trips, which led him, among other places, to Hungary, the Netherlands, and Italy. Additionally, from 1851 to 1853, he traveled through North and South America as well as the Caribbean. He primarily worked in Vienna but moved to Wösendorf in 1869. From 1842, Püttners regularly participated in exhibitions at the Vienna Academy, and in 1861, he became a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus. Oil on canvas, relined. Signed and dated 1857. Dimensions: 35 cm x 52 cm. Framed.
