Impressionistic painting "The Seine near La Frette"

(1860 Paris - 1940 ibid) "La Seine aux Environs de la Frette" (The Seine near La Frette). Original title. Painted in delicate, ethereal colors, this piece depicts a section of the Seine. It is extremely evocative, painted with loose, vibrant brushstrokes in the impressionistic style of the artist, trained by Harpignies and Jules Lefebvre. From 1888 onwards, Levis regularly exhibited his landscapes, among others, at the exhibitions of the "Societaire des Artistes Francais". Oil on wooden panel. Signed.
