Description

Strongly relief-plastic, adorned with flowers and leaves, rocaille socle. A seated child couple on a padded stool with tassel trim. Singing girl with pearl necklace and feather headdress. A notebook lying on her lap. Beside her, a boy partially wrapped in a sea-green cloth. In her outstretched left hand, she holds a paper scroll. On the ground, a violin with bow and a transverse flute. Polychrome painting with gold staffage. Either by Carl Christoph Punct (active 1761-1765), collaborator of J.J. Kaendler. Minor restorations; crossed swords mark. Height 20.5 cm. A rare porcelain figure group of children as an allegory of music. Minor restorations. Crossed swords mark. Meissen. Circa 1760-1770.
