"Pantalone" from the Italian Comedy
Description
On a rocaille pedestal stands a Pantalone in a reddish-brown costume with a black cloak draped over it. The polychrome painting is adorned with gold embellishments. Possibly by Franz Anton Bustelli, 1759/1760. Manufacture mark. Height 17.5 cm. A porcelain figure of Pantalone from the Commedia dell'arte. Manufacturer's mark: Nymphenburg. 20th century.
