Description

16-piece; Large serving platter, 8 dinner plates, coffee pot, and 6 coffee cups with saucers. "Rococo" shape with adorned, gold and sea green staffed rim. Various hunting motifs in the so-called island style on the wall and in the mirror. Scenic landscape representations, partly located on shores, with hunters in Rococo clothing, mostly accompanied by dogs, sitting on horses and resting, equipped with hunting horns. Decor - possibly by Hans Kratzer, from 1910 onwards. Manufacturer's mark. Plate diameter - 36 cm - 50.5 cm. The academically trained artist Hans Kratzer (1874-1951) designed numerous hunting decorations for the Nymphenburg porcelain manufactory, as well as the Royal Table Service of Ludwig III of Bavaria. He sold the design for the "Bunte Jagd" decor to the manufactory in 1940, which was subsequently executed by the painting department. Kratzer's motifs are inspired by examples from the Rococo period.
