The figurine is beautifully lifelike and detailed. Condition: no damages or restorations. From the history: Friedrich Karl Es, one of four children in the family, was born in 1802. His creative potential and artistic inventiveness manifested at an early age, and his father took him as an occasional assistant even during his school years.

When his father died, Friedrich was 11 years old and became the eldest boy in the family, thus becoming the primary provider. Further education was financially impossible for him, so he had to acquire all his knowledge in drawing and painting on his own.
