Rectangular, elevated rock pedestal. Seated on a rearing horse, resolutely gazing, is Napoleon Bonaparte in uniform with a bicorne and flowing red cape, his right hand raised in a commanding gesture, during his ride over the Alps at the Great St. Bernard Pass, according to the famous painting created around 1800/01 by the French history painter Jacques-Louis David (1748-1825). Polychrome painting with gold staffage. Either by Otto Poertzel, 1906. Pedestal with French inscription. Monogram "C.M." in on-glaze black. Former mark "Hollosi". Height 65 cm.
