Original title: "Three rabbits sit in front of a haystack and nibble on cabbage leaves, while a young kitten affectionately licks the light-brown rabbit on the head and nudges it with its paw." Müller depicted the animals with subtle naturalism, with maximum liveliness and virtuoso nuance in coloring. Müller, who studied at the Stuttgart Academy and moved to Munich in 1865, executed this work with exceptional mastery. Oil, alder wood panel. Signed with location – Munich.
