(1838 Windschläg – 1916 Pfaffendorf) King Charles Spaniel and Bolognese in an interior. A rare, meticulously painted depiction of a dog in the form of a small oval painting, likely created around 1860. Jutz visited the studio of animal painter August Knipe in Baden-Baden in 1853 and settled in Düsseldorf in 1867. His work primarily consists of carefully rendered bird images, for which intensive research was conducted, and he even established his own duck ponds to achieve the highest level of authenticity. Oil on wood panel. Dimensions and signature: approximately 12.5 cm x 9.5 cm, oval in shape. Likely in its original frame.
