(1838 Windschläg – 1916 Pfaffendorf) King Charles Spaniel and Bolognese Dog in an Interior. A rare, meticulously painted dog portrait in the form of a small oval painting, likely created around 1860. Jutz visited the studio of animal painter August Knipe in Baden-Baden in 1853 and settled in Düsseldorf in 1867. His work mainly consists of carefully painted bird depictions, for which intensive research was conducted, and he even created his own duck ponds to achieve the highest degree of authenticity. Oil on wood panel. Dimensions and signature: approximately 12.5 cm x 9.5 cm, in an oval shape. Probably in its original frame.
