

(1885 Jawstrow – 1958 Berlin) "Autumn Berries". Original title. This is an expressionist work by the artist Haase-Jawstrow, executed with soft, impasto strokes. Haase-Jawstrow studied in Berlin from 1903, and from 1906 at the Dresden Academy under Eugen Bracht and Oskar Zwintscher. From 1913, Haase-Jawstrow participated in major art exhibitions in Berlin.
In 1920, he received the Grand Prix of the State. During the 1920s, Haase-Jawstrow developed an expressionist painting style. From 1937 to 1944, he was a member of the studio community on Klosterstrasse in Berlin. Oil on cardboard. Signed. Title and date – 1924 on the reverse.
