Brillien studied at the Paris School of Fine Arts from 1840 and debuted at the Salon in 1843, where he subsequently exhibited frequently. Oil on wooden panel. The verso bears a certificate of authenticity written by the artist's granddaughter. 26.2 cm x 36 cm. Framed.
