(1817 Saint-Jean-d'Angély - 1893 Melun) Landscape None, influenced by the Barbizon school, is an impressive landscape by an artist whose work mainly encompasses genre scenes. Brillien studied at the Paris School of Fine Arts from 1840 and debuted at the Salon in 1843, where he subsequently exhibited frequently. Oil on wooden panel. The verso bears a certificate of authenticity written by the artist's granddaughter. 26.2 cm x 36 cm. Framed.
