(1826 Ballenstedt - 1907 ibid.) View of the Harz landscape with a beech forest and a stream, where a person rests with their dog, on the light and sun plan - a watermill and a larger house. This is a late Romantic, atmospheric work by a landscape painter who, in 1868, exhibited an "evening landscape" with a motif from Walkenried at the Berlin Academy exhibition; another "Harz landscape" from 1871 was in the Ducal Gallery in Gotha. Oil on canvas, newly lined. Signed. Dimensions: 78 cm x 96.5 cm. Framed.
