(1924 Altrohlau/Karlsbad – 1985 Munich) "Samurai." Original title of the 1982 work with fine compositional details from the mature, late period of Wild’s oeuvre. Due to World War II and Soviet captivity, Wild only began his artistic career in 1949, first in Kempten, then from 1952 in Munich. In his works, he combines abstract and occasionally figurative elements into fantastical, associative compositions. In 1961/62, Wild received the "Prix suisse peinture abstraite" in Lausanne. Oil or acrylic on canvas; signed and dated (19)82. Also signed, titled, and dated 1982 on the reverse. 50 cm x 60 cm. Framed.
