Description

A relief rocaille frame with gilded decoration. In the indented field, there is an image of a bird surrounded by green trees. Above, a stork is flying. In the background, a water tower is outlined before a hilly landscape. Very high-quality polychrome painting. On the reverse side, there is a solution for hanging on the wall. Partially without glaze. Minimal damage and retouching; dimensions 13 cm x 9 cm, 13.5 cm x 10 cm. Compare with the Hofmeister Collection, Volume I, number 196 and following; Rückert, 18th Century Porcelain, Bavarian National Museum Catalog, number 740 and following; Weltkunst 1995, page 1277.
