Rectangular, slightly curved body. Various scenes depicting nude courtly figures by Watteau in a landscaped park. The inner lid features an erotic scene in stipple technique. Fine polychrome painting. Polished interior wall with gilding. The lid has carved floral patterns, is metal, and has an octagonal porcelain tile set into it, surrounded by malachite cabochons. In minimal condition; height 4 cm, 7.5 cm x 6 cm. A metal and porcelain snuffbox with Watten scenes and erotica. Minor chips. Meissen. Circa 1750.
