(1838 Draveil - 1904 Paris) Chamonix at Mont Blanc. The renowned painter, known for his evocative vedutas, landscapes, and marine paintings, learned from, among others, Henri Durand-Brager and Eugène Isabey. Having traveled extensively with the French military and merchant navy, he visited distant parts of the world. Since 1859, he regularly exhibited at the Paris Salon with motifs from northern France. Oil on panel. Signed and dated 1889. Dimensions: 21.5 cm x 16.5 cm. Framed.
