(1911 Warsaw - 1979 ibid) Winter day in Old Warsaw Nostalgic view with horse-drawn carriages, sledges, and passers-by. The Polish artist studied at the Warsaw School of Art from 1926 to 1931 and created, in addition to depictions of horses, sledges, and troikas, primarily nostalgic, mostly winter cityscapes and architectural views. He particularly depicted, as on this painting, the famous historic Old Town before the very strong destructions in 1944 during World War II. Oil on canvas. Signed. Dimensions: 50 cm x 70 cm. Framed.
