Silver. Flat stand transitioning into an oval, bulging body with a hinged lid. The surface and lid adorned with radiating, delicately twisted, passively undulating waves. Gilded on the inside. Created by the master Georg Nicolaus I Bierfreund (became a master in 1740). Weighs approximately 100 grams. Height is 5.5 cm. Measures 9.5 cm x 7.5 cm.
