Description

A quadratic, four-sided drawn form with a brown contoured edge. In the recessed mirror and on the ascending wall, so-called quail decoration in the Kakemono style with iron-red and blue quails near a blooming Prunus tree and Kikyô plant (balloon flower). Polychrome, partially gilded painting. Sword mark. 16 cm x 16 cm. Compare catalog: Hoffmeister Collection, No. 120, Pietzsch Collection, Wark, No. 270, Weber/Eikelmann, Vol. II, No. 301ff. A Kakemono style porcelain four-pass bowl with "Quail pattern". Crossed swords mark. Meissen. Circa 1740.
