Description

A round form with a curved gold rim. "Altozier" relief decor. In the lightly recessed mirror, brightly colored decor in the style of Chinese "famille verte" porcelain, featuring stylized lotus ponds with flowers, surrounded by blooming peony branches, flying Ho-o birds (phoenixes), butterflies, and scattered flowers, framed by a broad brocade border with large chrysanthemum blossoms and colorful, four-pass reserve-framed butterflies. Polychrome painting in the Kakiemon style in enamel blue, iron red, sea and moss green, as well as yellow and a touch of aubergine. Unidentified; sword mark. Diameter 25 cm.
