In the lightly recessed mirror, brightly colored decor in the style of Chinese "famille verte" porcelain, featuring stylized lotus ponds with flowers, surrounded by blooming peony branches, flying Ho-o birds (phoenixes), butterflies, and scattered flowers, framed by a broad brocade border with large chrysanthemum blossoms and colorful, four-pass reserve-framed butterflies. Polychrome painting in the Kakiemon style in enamel blue, iron red, sea and moss green, as well as yellow and a touch of aubergine. Unidentified; sword mark. Diameter 25 cm.
