Description

Round form with wave-like curved edge. In the recessed mirror, a four-pass foliage and ribbon reserve with lustre background. Within, a scenic depiction of a Chinese family during a tea ceremony in a blooming garden landscape in polychrome painting. Broad gold lace border. Minimal restoration; crossed swords mark. Diameter 23 cm. A porcelain plate painted in polychrome with Chinoiserie scenes. Minor restored. Crossed swords mark. Meissen. Circa 1765-1775.
