A Vienna porcelain plate, inspired by Meissen models. It features a rounded base, a curved body with a wide neck and an outward-swinging rim. The domed, intricately crafted lid is barely visible from the outside. The surface is densely embossed with three-dimensional snowball flowers, adorned with large flower heads, so-called snowball spheres, with overlaid leaf tendrils and fully sculpted canaries. The painting is polychrome, with a gold rim. It bears the embossed manufacturer's number for Georg Binder. Insignificant restoration/repair; impressed manufacturer's mark with the date stamp (1847). Diameter: 17.5 cm. Made by the Imperial Manufactory Vienna, Austria, 1847.
