(Active around 1800) A pair of allegories of music. Oval, finely painted compositions with picturesque depictions in arcadian landscapes. Each is signed and dated 1803 with a crowned monogram "AA". 21.5 cm - 22 cm x 16.2 cm (cut-out in mat). Sealed. German or French artist of the Empire style, active around 1800.
