Impressionistic, typical for the motif and style of Sandrock’s harbor themes, who participated annually in the Great Berlin Art Exhibitions since 1898. The well-known art critic Max Osborn in 1912 praised Sandrock as “one of the strongest and most promising talents of the Berlin painters’ guild” and commended his impetuous style.
