(1842 Olney – 1885 Paris) Sailor on a stormy sea. A Dutch schooner lying on the boiling waters and leaning in the wind. In the background, a schooner is anchored with the silhouette of a city on the horizon. The renowned French marine artist Gallard-Lepine regularly exhibited at the Paris Salon between 1864 and 1884.
