(1821 Bom – 1911 Paris) "Bragos Boats Returning". Original title: Fischerboote in der Lagune von Venedig, with a small depiction of a fisherman in the upper right corner. Ziem was a member of the Barbizon school, made his debut at the Paris Salon in 1849, and was a regular exhibitor. In 1860, Ziem settled in the Montmartre artistic quarter.
