Giese, who settled in Basel in 1833, created particularly watercolors of city views, which also served as templates for lithographs. Watercolor on paper, originally mounted by the artist on black paper with an architectural gold rounded arch. Signed and dated 1840. Image approximately 21 cm x 16.7 cm. Framed.
