

(1818 Düsseldorf – 1890 same place) attributed; "At the Harbor" is a composite snapshot of a city harbor, where one can see numerous fishing boats bustling noisily. The scene is enlivened by several people on the embankment and in their boats. The artwork is executed in oil on canvas, which is mounted on a wooden panel. It measures 31 cm x 20.3 cm and is framed. The authorship of the work is attributed to Karl Hilgers (1818–1890) and bears his monogram.
