

(1859 Vienna-Breitensee – 1945 approx.) Flower Girl in a Chapel / Madonna / Christ and Joseph. A collection of three paintings. Brightly colored works, typical in motif and style, by the well-known artist Zatzka. Zatzka attended the Academy in Vienna from 1877 to 1882, and in 1880 he was awarded the Füger Gold Medal. After studying in Italy, Zatzka returned to Vienna. Among Zatzka’s favorite motifs were elves, cupids, sensual female figures, genre scenes, allegories, and other popular images that were widely distributed as postcards, art prints, and photolithographs. Oil on canvas, cardboard, and paper. Signed. Dimensions: 12.5 – 19.5 cm x 11.5 – 17.5 cm. Framed.
