Description

Silver. More than four stylized hoofed feet, oval, flattened, with a curved belly, convex ridges, and an elegantly smooth body with curved sides. A corresponding convex hinged lid, centered with a fully three-dimensional floral branch as the handle. Gilded inside. Signed, delicate stroke, hallmark, master Samuel Bardet (became a master in 1759). Weight approximately 260 g. Height 12 cm. 13.5 cm x 9.5 cm. See Seling 2007, number 2453, BZ 2560.
