Description

Silver, fully gilded. On display spherical feet, a wearable cylindrical body with a gently undulating, smooth rim divided by profile lines. On the wall and lid, stylized embossed flat fruit sheaves alternate, totaling six medallions with expressively cast antique portraits of Roman rulers, each engraved above; the lid is cap-shaped with a smooth, widely flared rim and crowned with a large spherical finial. Master Hans Philipp Sigmund (became a master around 1659) executed the engraving, a tremulous touch, hallmark, weight approx. 205 g. Height 14.5 cm. See Selíng 2007, BZ 0750, No. 1622.
