Description

Above the rounded, convex base rises an expanding body in the shape of a baluster, articulated with undulating, curved lines. A high, convex, slightly recessed lid on hinges with a fully plastic flower bud as a handle and a recess for a spoon. A small curved ear-shaped handle on the side with a corresponding curved thumb rest. Gilded inside. Signature: Master Gottfried Lütkens (became a master in 1758). Weight approximately 220 g. Height 19.5 cm. Compare Seling 2007, No. 2451, BZ 2480. A silver mustard pot with a lid in the German Rococo style by Gottfried Lütkens (master from 1758). Gilded inside. Assay and master's mark. German. Augsburg, 1775-1777.
