Description

Silver. A pear-shaped body with a lid rests on a tubular stem, decorated with a rim, horizontally connected to a hinge on the reverse side, and fitted with a spherical handle. A spout with its own lid is hinged at the center. The walls and lid are adorned with elegantly curved vertical lines. The handle is ornamented with wooden foliage. Manufactured, assayed, with the maker's mark and the mark of the unknown monogrammist "ISA" (active around 1743). Weight approximately 520 grams. Height 24 cm. See Seling, 2007, No. 2347, BZ 1880. A German Baroque silver coffeepot by the unknown master "ISA" (active around 1743). Assayed, tested, and created in Germany. Augsburg. 1741-1743.
