Description

Spherical curved spout. Flat lid with a plastic branch instead of a handle. Gilded bronze mount on the swivel handle and around the rim of the spout with chain links and a handle made in the shape of a porcelain branch. Surrounding relief decoration in gold stafette, depicting grapes and forgetful ivy. On the body, a bright decorative pattern with shepherdesses playing music in an imaginary landscape. Polychrome painting, likely from the workshop of the artist Franz Ferdinand Mayer-Pressnitz. Sword mark. Height 27 cm. Porcelain teapot with gilded bronze handles and polychrome painting in the "Hausmaler" style, likely executed by F.F. Mayer-Pressnitz. Crossed swords mark. Meissen. Mid-18th century.
