Saxon porcelain collection cup on a saucer. A bumpy, multi-layered curved form with a tapered wall. Chrysanthemum branches in the Japanese "Kakemono" style on the wall and in the mirror. Polychrome painting in iron-red, sea-green, and enamel-blue colors with a black outline. Inscribed "Johannneum" (or "Palace") No. "N = 336.w" (inventory number of the Japanese Palace). Partially and minimally restored; mark of crossed swords. Cup height: 7 cm. Diameter: 9.5 cm - 14.5 cm. Similar examples can be found in the Dresden State Art Collections (inventory number PE 5056 a, b), the Berlin Museum of Applied Arts (M 118 a), the Vienna Museum of Applied Arts (inventory number KE 896-1), and the Hermitage in St. Petersburg.
